Activities has planned a fun-filled summer for all the members of South Carroll Swim Club. The intent is to provide all members the opportunity to share good times with old friends and the chance to make new friends. Details are usually provided a few weeks prior to the activity on the bulletin board across from the Guard's Office. Please try to join us for some planned activities, described below:

Call for Volunteers

With 600 families to entertain, one can imagine that the activities coordinator has a busy schedule. It simply is not possible to execute these activities without the generous help of volunteers. We need your help to make these events a reality, for your family, friends, and fellow members. It is especially important for parents to pitch in with children's activities and nights at the pool if these are to happen. So please let us know you are out there and can pitch in any way you can; no doubt you will make friends in the process. Contact activities@southcarrollclub.com.

Adult Nights

Adult night is scheduled for Friday, July 13,, from 7 to 12 PM. Check the Calendar and Bulletin Board at the pool for details.

School Nights

We are holding two elementary school nights and a middle school night. Check the Calendar and Bulletin Board at the pool for details. Our school age members, with parental supervision, are invited to enjoy an evening at our swim club on a night that is reserved just for them. Dinner and a DJ will be provided for a minimal fee.

These events have historically been a big hit with the children. Again, food and music will be provided. In the event of rain we will still hold the activity, in the Clubroom. Watch the activities bulletin board for information on these and all events. I will also be requesting parent chaperones and/or volunteers to help cook and monitor the children for these events. PLEASE remember that we cannot continue to offer these events unless parents are willing to pitch-in and volunteer!

Fourth of July Celebration

The Fourth of July is always fun at South Carroll Club. From 12 to 4 pm, we have plenty of games planned for the entire family and, once again, we will be cooking up hamburgers and hot dogs to satisfy all those hungry appetites. We will be charging a reasonable amount for food and beverages, so bring your friends and family and enjoy!

Grill Nights

On Sunday evenings, we will be featuring a family grill night from 5 to 9 PM. The Guards will have our grills all fired up and ready to go for all members who wish to picnic under either of our two spacious pavilions. Just bring something to grill and the coals will be ready when you are.

Swim Lessons

South Carroll Swim Club will again be offering swim lessons to all members. Ms. Kim Easterday will be running the lessons again this year. There will be (3) 2-week sessions. Morning sessions will run from 11:00 to 11:30 and from 11:30 to 12:00. Cost per session per student will be $40. Registration forms will be available at the Guard Office when the pool opens. Please check back for dates and details in early May.

Pavilion Rentals

The Club pavilions are available for all members to reserve for their private parties. Most times are available except when there are pre-planned Club activities. Reservations can be made at the Guard House during pool hours. There are two timeframes available on a daily basis that can be reserved at each pavilion: 12 noon - 4 PM and 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM. The Upper Pavilion may not be rented on Sunday nights because it is used for Grill Nights.

Clubroom Rentals

The South Carroll Club Room, a premier event facility, is rented year-round to members and nonmembers. The Community Room has a capacity of 175 people and a kitchen facility suitable for catering any event.

The Community Room is a great place to hold indoor activities: You pick the date and design the event and the place is yours! You may provide your own food or arrange for catering through one of the many excellent local caterers in the area (ask us for a list). Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and can be made by e-mailing the Clubroom Manager.
