2008 Membership News

Membership welcomes, in advance, those new families who have joined the pool in the 2008 swim season.

Membership thanks all the members who returned their Membership Information Forms and family photos. They continuously update membership in the check-in system and appreciate your cooperation as they work to ensure a smooth entry for your family. Please make sure to update any membership info that has changed ASAP to ensure that your entry is not delayed once the sun comes out. You may update membership info online at any time.

New key fobs were issued to ALL members in 2005. If you have lost your key fob then you may order a replacement for $5 per fob; contact membership to place an order or pick up an order form at the guard house during the swim season.

Benefits of SCSC membership include the use of all pools and recreational facilities from May through August of each year, in addition to the following:

• Pavilion reservation rights
• Access to swim lessons
• Swim Team participation
• Member-Only Events

Membership Availability

Membership Bonds

Once you purchase a bond, it is yours until you wish to redeem it. When you wish to redeem your bond you will be reimbursed the current market value of the bond (i.e., the price that a new member would pay to purchase the bond). To redeem your bond:

1. Have all parties whose names appear on the front of the bond sign the back of the bond. (The SCSC bond is a legal document, and submission of your signed bond represents your intent to sell your membership. )
2. If you have lost or misplaced your bond, then submit a notarized letter indicating your intent to redeem your bond. Include your bond number with this letter.
3. Be sure to include the address where you would like your refund sent.
   
4. Mail the bond (or notarized letter) to:

Note: Your bond must be sold before a refund will be issued. This process may take 120 days or more if we have to offer the bond to several families before membership is accepted.

Annual Membership Dues

Each SCSC member pays annual membership dues to help maintain the facility for the season. The Annual Dues notices were mailed in late February. You MUST contact us if you do not receive your dues notice by March 1st.

For the 2008 swim season, membership dues are $485 and must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2008. After April 1, 2008, a late fee of 10% will be assessed MONTHLY until dues are paid. NO EXCEPTIONS.

New members should submit their dues according to the date indicated in their membership offer letter.

August Privileges

August privileges allow prospective members to make use of SCSC during a time when general membership attendance is low. Only families currently on the SCSC waitlist are eligible for August Privileges. August Privileges extend from August 1st to Labor Day (close of the pool season) and are offered on a first-come basis to 80 families. All families on the waitlist as of July 1st will receive an August Privilege invitation in the mail around the July 4th timeframe. Please note that August Privilege fees are non-refundable. The cost for August privileges for 2008 will be $175.

Credit Cards

You can now pay your Annual Membership Dues with your credit card using PayPal.  For new members you may also pay the new member fees using PayPal.  Click on the appropiate button below to be direct to the Clubs PayPal site.  Please note the processing fee has already been added to the amount to be charged.
